Oh, Patti!! I got goose bumps reading your story! THANKS!!

And have you started your Christmas shopping?

Usually, I'm way ahead, getting stuff done months in advance. This year - I've bought very very little. Just those few things I got before the downpour on Sunday (some clothes for Mark). "Santa" has bought a scooter for each of the girls, as well as a couple of game boy games for Emily.....

I've had the Godparents e-mailing, asking what we all want. Last night, I asked my parents what they wanted. Tonight I had that conversation with my sister....

What's on my list for me? That's hard. See, I don't want to have people buy me clothes right now (what's the point? If they fit now, will they fit later?) And what else is left? Well, the other things that are left are too expensive to tell folks I want, ya know? What do I really want? Well, a new computer would be really really nice, then a new monitor for this computer, so that the girls can use it. OH! and I'd like a netcam....

Confession time...

Yesterday was Halloween, so what better to eat then Hershey's Chocolate? Yesterday, this is what I had to eat and drink: 4 cups of coffee, 2 glasses of water, 3 glasses of ice tea. One giant Hershey's Bar. One small can of pineapple. 1/2 a carton of cottage cheese. Bologna Sandwich (1 cheese, 2 bologna, mayo). 2 pieces of toast. 2 Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.

Hmmm....let's see how that averages out: WAY too much sugar, too many carbs, not enough protein...Yikes!

And do you wanna know something WEIRD?

OK. Don't tell anyone. But, when I lost all of my weight, I bought new clothes, including new bras. Most of the old stuff went away. Well my bras fit "ok", just a little tight sometimes - though I went down in the # portion (from a 38 down to a 36), my cup size stayed the same. So, yesterday, I put on this lace bra. I noticed that my boobs looked a little funky, but hey, they weren't sagging, they weren't hanging out, so it worked.

Yesterday was in the low 80's - so I wore a short sleeve black suit, with a white sweater shell underneath. When I went to the bathroom at work yesterday, I took off my jacket - and I guess I was a little cold...so my nipples were...ummmm...erect? BUT wanna know what caught my attention? they weren't pointing OUT, they were pointing to the SIDE. Yup. Left one was pointing left, right one was pointing right. Sooooooo...now I know that sometimes a bra that's on the tight side may lift you up, but it doesn't necessarily lift you out....

Can you believe...

that I just tonight got my sister's e-mail address? For some strange reason, I've never gotten it.

Maybe because we just have separate interests. It's hard to imagine my sister doing anything on the net, other than doing the e-mail thing. I know that one time she mentioned getting my e-mail address so that she could forward me all of the "cute" things she gets - you know, those e-mail list things that you get...those things that, on a really busy day, I just "delete" instead of reading.....

Feels like ages..

since I've sat down and blogged! What could have kept me??!! Umm....well, like my subtitle says "random thoughts of a webmistress, wife, mother..." Mostly the wife & mother part :-)

The weekends are always wild, with me having little time to myself. And then there was the problem with the stuff not actually publishing. Yesterday, I had a teacher conference and hubby was home for the evening (usually he works Mon-Fri). And tonight, why, Halloween of course.

My main focus today has been trying to figure out Front Page. The backgrounds and themes are really cool, but getting it published is going to be another thing....

Well, I'm off. If you are reading, please know that though I may owe you e-mail, am behind in my reading of fan fic as well as my reading of blogs, I still think about you :-)

RAIN, rain go away...

OK, we really need the rain, but this is ridiculous! Mark is working this morning at an extra job, so I thought I would head over to the mall and the sporting good stores to get some Christmas Shopping done. We hit Mervyn's first, cause it opens at 9 AM, and then thought we would hit Academy at 10. When we left Mervyns, it was raining sooooo hard that the three of us (me and the girls) were soaked through. So we came back home, they took hot showers, and I made them hot choclate.

I wonder if they are up to going back out now that they have on dry clothes??!!

Oh, gee! I love this comic strip. For Better or Worse. This part though, Remembering Farley brought tears to my eyes....

YOU are just so sweet! I'm so thrilled that someone finally linked to me :-) I can't even get into the blogger directory!!!!

I'm sooooo glad that the medication is working for you. I think people with difficulties get a really bad rap. Depression (and other mental illnesses) are just as debilitating as physical illnesses - and what better thing to take care of then youself? You ignore all those people (like your sister's boyfriend) that tell you that only crazy people take those pills. The stronger person admits they may need some help getting through a rough time, it's the weaker people who insist that NOTHING is wrong and bumble through life, feeling miserable.

So, if you are going through a depression or other difficulty DO NOT BE AFRAID to go on medication. It may be the best thing for ya!

Jeez, Louise. I'm sooo drained. Soooooo drained. Miss Shana, I appreciate you listening to me whine tonight. Thanks. I did have a nice break from reality when Charmed was on tonight and some nice bonding time with the girls. They can both tell that I'm going through a down cycle, but luckily I hide it from them most of the time.

Learned some new things today (that I never knew before!) as I was working on the company newsletter. Can't wait to share them on my web site :-) I finally learned how to do "screen shots". Way cool! Peace to all :-)

MSN News: Kursk crewmen survived initial blasts This is soooooo sad. And I simply cannot believe that the Russian Government allowed that leak. Talk about the possibility for revolution!

Eek! It’s the invasion of the eels! EEEwwwww! Shana, you ok out there?

It's a gloomy sort of day...

It's all grey here - not rainy, but grey. The kind of grey that permeates throughout the building - and you cannot chase the shadows away with the few faint flickerings of the light bulb...nor does the glow of the candle on my desk bring a glow to ME.

::::sigh::::

Yes, Sometimes I spin in the stars, but sometimes, I cry in the rain....
